The rules that keep iSoar safe and useful for students, families and staff.
iSoar is a shared space for students, families, teachers and school staff. These rules keep it safe and useful for everyone. They apply to every account, together with your school's own technology and conduct policies.
1. Please do
- Use iSoar for school purposes and treat others with respect in messages, comments and submissions.
- Keep your password private and sign out on shared devices.
- Share student information only with people who are allowed to see it, and only for school reasons.
- Tell your school office if you see something in iSoar that should not be there.
2. Do not
- Use someone else's account, or let someone use yours.
- Try to see records or areas your role does not give you access to.
- Harass, bully, threaten or discriminate against anyone.
- Post or upload content that is unlawful, sexually explicit, violent or hateful, or that you do not have the right to share.
- Download, copy or share student records outside iSoar except as your district allows.
- Upload viruses or other harmful files, or send spam.
- Probe, scan or test iSoar for weaknesses, get around its security, or overload it. Security researchers should follow the reporting steps on our Security page.
- Use automated tools to collect data from iSoar.
- Use iSoar to advertise or sell products.
3. What happens if these rules are broken
Schools and districts may limit or remove access under their own policies. iSoar Network may also suspend an account that puts students, users or the service at risk, and will tell the district when it does.
4. Report misuse
Students and families: tell a teacher or your school office. Staff: tell your district's iSoar administrator, or email theisoarnetwork@gmail.com.
