How iSoar Network collects, uses and protects personal information on this website and in iSoar.
This privacy policy explains how iSoar Network ("iSoar", "we") handles personal information on this website and in the iSoar service. Student records that districts keep in iSoar are covered in more detail on our Student data privacy page, which takes priority for that information.
1. Information we collect
- Information districts and users put into iSoar, as described on our Student data privacy page.
- Account information, such as name, email address, role and school, set up by the district.
- Information you send us, such as when you email us to request a demo or ask for help.
- Technical information that our servers record when you use iSoar, such as IP address, browser type, the time of a request and error details. We use it to keep iSoar secure and working.
2. How we use it
- To provide iSoar, including signing you in, showing the right information for your role and delivering messages and notifications.
- To keep iSoar secure, prevent misuse and fix problems.
- To respond to your questions and demo requests.
- To improve iSoar, using information about how features are used.
- To meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
3. Cookies and browser storage
This website does not use advertising or third-party analytics trackers. iSoar stores a small amount of information in your browser so it works: your sign-in session, and preferences such as light or dark theme, the selected school or child, and recently visited pages. You can clear it at any time from your browser settings, which will sign you out.
5. How long we keep it
We keep district data as described on our Student data privacy page. We keep emails from people who contact us for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and then delete them.
6. Your choices
If you use iSoar through a school or district, contact them to see, correct or delete your information, since they control it. For information you sent us directly, such as a demo request, you can ask us to see, correct or delete it.
7. Security
We protect personal information with the measures described on our Security page. No system is perfectly secure, and we work to improve these measures over time.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change is material, we will tell districts before it takes effect.
